ENGLEWOOD, N.J. – Talk about a good neighbor policy.
Tenafly resident Gil Kovalsky and Kobi Aharon of Fair Lawn, open up their Englewood-based kitchen showroom at least two times a month to area charities – at no cost to the charity.
The owners of Modiani Kitchens guestimate they’ve hosted hundreds of events since they opened their doors –and offered this policy – in 2011.
Both say it’s the right thing to do. They have the space – complete with a working kitchen -- and charities are in need of funds. So, where appropriate, and for what works (cocktail parties are best), they make it happen.
Over the years they have catered to everyone from the Women’s Information Center, ELEM, the JCC, Center for Food Action, The Habitat for Humanity, The Rotary Club of Teaneck, the Alpine Learning Group, and many more.
“We’re all about giving back to the community,” said Office Manager Wilma Dinkelmeyer. “Our mission is to help organizations make connections here at Modiani Kitchens, to bring awareness to their cause, and to better help others that live here and beyond.”
Modiani Kitchens and Interiors is at 46 S. Dean St., (201) 568-7800, www.modianikitchens.com .
