Joseph Sansotta, owner of Central Kitchen on East Palisades and Sylvan Avenues, calls his establishment "American cuisine with an Italian twist."

He has been in business for three years serving locals and those who work at a number of corporate headquarters in the area, from Ferrari to Ad Asia.

"I started in the food business 14 years ago and opened my first deli in Whilte Plains. I recently moved to Englewood Cliffs myself, so I now live here with my wife and child, and we have a loyal customer base."

He offers fresh dishes for those with an expensive pallet, with pizza, entrees and create-your-own salads. He is looking to expand the catering portion of the business when hundreds can't fit inside the venue for large parties.

"I've always been around my mom in the kitchen where I grew up in New Rochelle after my parents immigrated from Calabria, so we bring some of that here," he said.

In December, they are booked for orders, helping a party of 125 people enjoy a holiday party.

"It's right on the corner, so we grab a drink after work," said Richard Elberts who works in the area.

Sansotta prides himself on picking the right staff.

"We just want to keep doing what we're doing," he said.
