ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- The Fit Factory in Englewood is all about building a better version of yourself.
Owners Jessi Corredor, of Bergenfield, and Englewood residents Tarrant Anderson and Michael Gee have been in the fitness space for a while -- Anderson previously owned a gym -- and wanted to create something more community minded.
And so, on Sept. 16 they opened The Fit Factory in Englewood, designed to help folks get in tune with their bodies.
The goal, says the copy on their website, is to "grow and expand the greatness that’s already within".
The Factory offers a variety of classes such as boot camp, Trap aerobics, and dance fitness, booty and abs. They also offer personal training and are starting a sports performance program.
"We wanted to open up something bigger than just a gym," explained Corredor.
"We call it 'Fit Fam,' as in getting people fit while having the most fun."
The three pride themselves on making everyone feel at home and getting to know one another.
"Working out doesn’t come easy for everyone," she said. "Some people have a passion for it but some people do it because they have to (or want to look better) so creating a fun and safe environment for people to work out makes it easier for them to stay motivated and on track."
The partners really care about their members, she added. "The Fit Factory isn’t just a gym to come and go," she said. "It’s a home."
