ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Relive some of the '60s at bergenPAC in Englewood when The Monkees take the stage on Sunday, Nov. 20.

"Good Times: The 50th Anniversary Tour" features original Monkees Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork.

Summer 2016 marked the 50th anniversary of the television series and the release of their debut single "Last Train To Clarksville." The group celebrated by releasing a new album "Good Times!" and going on a North American tour.

“Last Train to Clarksville,” was a number one hit, followed by other Billboard Top 40 songs, “I’m a Believer,” “Pleasant Valley Sunday,” “Words,” “Daydream Believer,” and more.

The quartet of Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork and the late Davy Jones were brought together in 1965 for the television series The Monkees.

Mike Nesmith has rarely participated in Monkees reunion tours since the group split in 1971. Davy Jones died of a sudden heart attack in 2012.

The new album features tracks written specifically for the band by well-known songwriters, including Rivers Cuomo of Weezer ("She Makes Me Laugh"), Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie ("Me & Magdalena"), Andy Partridge of XTC ("You Bring The Summer"), as well as a song co-written by Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller ("Birth Of An Accidental Hipster").

The band also completed songs that were originally recorded and written for the group during the 60s, including “Love To Love” by Neil Diamond and Harry Nilsson’s “Good Times.”

The anniversary show features all of The Monkees hits, plus an acoustic set and solo spots for each of the singers.

Tickets are $49-$129. See Ticketmaster to purchase, call the box office at (201) 227-1030 or email boxoffice@bergenpac.org.
