Winter Storm Forces Verismo Opera To Reschedule Open House

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- With the first winter storm of the season underway, the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera (Verismo Opera) has rescheduled the New Year Open House to Saturday, Jan. 30.

The house opera company of the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) will hold the annual event at the same location and time: 44 Armory Street in Englewood at 2 p.m.

Auditions for the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera Chorus and the Children's Chorus will take place at the end of the program. Singers who have scheduled appointments to audition should contact info@verismopera.org to reschedule.

Program to Present New Season

Artistic Director Lucine Amara invites the public to attend the free event and learn more about the grand opera company's new season. The program will feature vocalists performing arias and duets from Verismo Opera's upcoming 2016 season and past productions.
