ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — There's a cheaper way to visit your favorite museums, thanks to the Friends of the Englewood Library.
The group is sponsoring the Englewood Public Library Museum Pass Program, a cultural opportunity for the residents to visit local museums for free.
Admission is available to:
- American Museum of Natural History
- Children’s Museum of Manhattan
- Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
- New-York Historical Society Museum & Library
- Newark Museum
Each venue also offers different giveaways and discounts, such as special exhibition tickets, museum store discounts, birthday party hosting, reduced wait time, and unlimited number of children entering with adults.
"This is a wonderful way for the whole family to visit some of the metropolitan area’s most interesting museums for free," Library Director Mary Witherell said. "We are grateful to our Friends group for making this tremendous cultural opportunity available to our community.”
Passes can be obtained by Englewood residents 18 or older with a valid library card in good standing. Reservations will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis and can be made up to two months in advance by calling the library at 201-568-2215 or visiting the circulation desk.
Passes must be picked up and returned in person at the circulation desk. A $20 deposit is required for each pass, which will be refunded when the pass is returned to the library the day after use.
