Englewood's St. Paul's Sets Annual Choir Performance

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- The St Paul's Choirs are presenting their Sixth Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 22.

"Come and join hear beautiful music in a beautiful, sacred space," organizers note. The St Paul’s Choir will present Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina's beautiful Missa Brevis in its entirety. The St Paul’s Choir School will present works by Buxtehude, Lole, Howells, Rutter and more.

Mark Trautman is conducting. A reception will follow the performance. The suggested donation is $20, or $10 for students and seniors.

The performance will begin at 5 p.m. St. Paul's is located at 113 Engle St., in Englewood. Visit the church's website for more information.

"St Paul's offers in Englewood continues to offer a variety of musical events throughout the year as a gift of beauty and refreshment to the greater Englewood community and beyond," organizers said.

The St Paul's Choir is a semi-professional ensemble of adults that sings most Sundays during the academic year. Members of the choir have sung with Anonymous 4, the New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra, the Voices of Ascension and more. The St Paul's Choir School is an award-winning after-school program for children ages 8 through high school.

The choristers have most recently sung with the Grammy-winning Chieftains at Bergen PAC, and two choristers recently placed in the NJ Music Teachers' Association Voice Competition at Westminster Conservatory in Princeton.

The church celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2015 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
