Englewood Rallies Around Mom Who Lost Job Following Daughter's Sudden Death

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — More than $4,800 had been raised as of Sunday morning for an Englewood mom who lost her job weeks after her 11-year-old daughter died suddenly.

Niya was in 6th grade when she died suddenly after suffering an asthma attack in September, page founder Jaime Gil said.

Soon after, her mother lost her job, and is doing "any and everything she can," to keep Niya's siblings — 11, 5 and 3 — full.
