“I have a friend who lives in Bergen County who lost his precious ferret Pepper. I know he loves her very much and she escaped out of his door on Sunday night,” states a post on the Bergen County NJ Lost and Found Pets Facebook page.

The ferret scurried from the home on North Avenue in Fort Lee on Sunday, Oct. 15, around 10 p.m., the post states.

The post encourages people to keep an eye out for the animal. Those who see the animal can call Juno Choi at 201-982-0744, the post states.

“If you happen to capture it, I am sure you would be able to have in held at the local wildlife/animal shelter,” it states.
