Miley Cyrus Pays Tribute To Record-Breaking Edgewater Rapper On Fallon

EDGEWATER, N.J. — Cardi B of Edgewater's hit "Bodak Yellow" last week bumped Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" from the top spot on Billboard Top 100, making Cardi the first female rapper with no featured artists to hold the spot since Lauryn Hill in 1998.

Miley Cyrus brought even more attention to the hit on Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, when she sang a pop rendition of the song during a round of Musical Genre Generator.

The lyric's of the song — "I don't dance now, I make money moves" — are a reference to Cardi's former job working at a strip club in New York City, TIME Magazine reports.

Now, she sees things from a different perspective, she told Billboard.

"If your song is not playing in the strip club, then it’s not popping," Cardi said. "Seeing the dancers singing to ["Bodak Yellow"] and men throwing money, it feels like I accomplished something."
