Tomasi is leading Contractors4Change, a non-profit that is building on the legacy of its corporate founding partner, Roof4Roof.

Roof4Roof, a Carlstadt-based contracting company, uses proceeds from every project to help families in need by doing emergency home and roof repairs. The new charity is building on that vision by expanding services, enlisting volunteers, and helping other businesses start their own give-back programs.

“Already this movement has helped hundreds of families, and with our start-up charity Contractors4Change, we can bring more partners together to expand the types of home repair services we can offer and to help many, many more families, around the world and right here in our own north Jersey neighborhoods,” Tomasi said.

Tomasi has worked in homeless shelters, housing authorities, affordable housing nonprofits, and other social service agencies. She served as project manager for Bergen County’s Hurricane Sandy Long-Term Recovery Committee, helping hundreds of local families recover from the effects of the 2012 storm.
