ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- A single story building on Bennett Road across from Mackay Park is being considered by Englewood officials as the future home for the recreation department, reports northjersey.com.

The site was formerly tainted by an underground oil tank leak but has since been remediated and is no longer on the state's contaminated property list, reports northjersey.com.

Englewood Mayor Frank Huttle III wants the town to purchase the building but has gotten opposition from Councilman Eugene Skurnick over the site's contaminated history, reports northjersey.com.
