Betty Lou Aselta, 89, Of Englewood

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. – Betty Lou Asleta (nee McMahon), 89, of Englewood and formerly of Fort Lee, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016. 

She was born June 27, 1927, to the late Louis McMahon and the late Barbara Holmes. 

She was the wife of the late John N. Aselta; mother of John L. Aselta and Gayle, Nicholas S. Aselta and his wife Joanne; grandmother of John Aselta, Jr. and his wife Heather, Steven Aselta and his wife Christine, Brad Aselta and his wife Deena, Nicholas Aselta Jr. and John P. Aselta; great-grandmother of Sara, Kylie, Allie and Lilianna Aselta; and sister of the late Louis and Reginald McMahon. 

Before retiring, Asleta worked in advertising, she was a dance instructor and she worked in a bank, where she met her husband. She was lucky enough to be a homemaker her entire married life. 

There will be a Catholic blessing at 8 p.m. Thursday at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park. Visiting hours will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be Friday at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
