Frank J. Calandra, 81, Englewood Resident

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Frank J. Calandra, of Englewood, died on Friday, Dec. 23. He was 81.

An Army veteran, Calandra earned his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College in New York City. Before he retired, he was an information technology manager for Philip Morris, in White Plains.

He supported numerous organizations, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Doctors without Borders and the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.

Calandra is survived by his wife, Jacklyn (Visaggio) Calandra; children Jack Calandra, Mark Calandra and his wife Danielle, and Frank Calandra; siblings Theresa Pica, Lou Calandra and Lucy Michelucci; and grandchildren Olivia, Gabrielle, Michael and Evelyn.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gioacchino and Maria Calandra, and his sister, Philomena Macioci.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral will be from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, with a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, in Hasbrouck Heights. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, in North Arlington.
