Park Ridge Folk Pop Legend Maggie Roche Dies

PARK RIDGE, N.J. — Maggie Roche, the Park Ridge native who formed the folk pop trio The Roches along with her two sisters, has died, reports NJArts.net. She was 65.

She and her sisters, Terre and Suzzy, performed in New York City clubs and broke through to a national audience in 1979, the arts site reports.

They performed on Paul Simon’s 1973 album, “There Goes Rhymin’ Simon."

Maggie Roche, who succumbed to cancer, was the group’s principal songwriter.
