West New York’s Amber Lee Ettinger has signed with Wilhelmina Models, one of the most prominent agencies in the fashion industry,
With offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, Wilhelmina Models has placed its models in campaigns for, among others, MAC, CoverGirl, L’Oreal, Donna Karan and Avon.
“Expanding further, the Wilhelmina Artist Management division, specializing in entertainment and music, has quickly risen to the top of the industry representing international stars such as Fergie, Zoe Saldana, Natasha Bedingfield, Rebecca Romijn, Cyndi Lauper, Zachery Quinto, and Estelle,” its website says.
“This vastly experienced team specializes in securing celebrity-powered campaigns, image consultation, private brand licensing, endorsements, sponsorships and talent appearances. Creating, developing, and maintaining the stellar brand identity of each artist by securing major fashion campaigns, endorsements, marketing opportunities and tour sponsorships is a top priority of the Wilhelmina Artist Management division.”
The agency was founded more than 40 years ago by Wilhelmina “Willy” Behmenburg, who came to the U.S. from the Netherlands in 1954 and became one of the most famous models of the Fifties and Sixties, working for the Ford agency.
Before long, Wilhelmina Models took its place beside Ford Models, eventually launching the career of the first black American supermodel, Naomi Sims.
