Boys Bathroom Bomb Note Clears Tenafly School

TENAFLY, N.J. -- A note found in a second-floor boys bathroom about a bomb scheduled to explode on Dec. 1, 2018 forced the evacuation and search of Tenafly Middle School on Tuesday afternoon.

All students and staff were brought around the corner to Tenafly High School while a Bergen County Sheriff's K9 unit swept the building following the 12:15 p.m. discovery.

Nothing suspicious was found, Capt. Michael deMoncada told Daily Voice.

The school was reopened at 1:45 p.m.

Although there were no suspects identified, deMoncada noted that an investigation was continuing.
