Detectives Chris Quirk and Carlos Marte teamed up with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification to connect 35-year-old Justin Creekmore to the break-ins after the evidence was analyzed by the New Jersey State Police lab, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Creekmore is serving a prison term in Virginia in connection with a pair of Virginia Beach burglaries last October, records show.
He committed the Englewood break-ins on his way there from the Bronx, Torell said.
Quirk and Marte traveled there last week and charged Creekmore with various burglary and theft counts.
Once his Virginia time is served, Creekmore’s New Jersey case will be transferred to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office — with $300,000 bail ordered by a judge.
The burglaries all occurred within a block or so of one another on West Palisade Avenue: the Sabor Cubano restaurant, A & G Multiservice couriers and delivery services, the Christina Collections clothing store, Oori Service company, Group B Properties, and the Dolce and Salato Bakery.
