YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: An Englewood man arrested by police on a domestic violence charge tossed nearly two dozen bags of marijuana while he was being chased while holding on to more than $1,000 in alleged proceeds, authorities said.
Dante Dixon, 33, remained held on $45,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with domestic violence assault, evidence tampering and various drug possession counts, including near public housing and a city park.
Reponding Officer Andrew Chytrak was met by a woman who followed Dixon out of a 4th Ward apartment around 9 o’clock Christmas night, saying that he’d just assaulted her, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .
Dixon bolted and was chased by Chytrak, who was joined in cornering him by Officer Sean O’Hara, Torell said.
The victim didn’t require medical attention, the captain said.
