The witness who knew that the bike's owner worked in a local business told Officer Nathaniel Kinlaw that he was threatened while scaring off Carlos Joya, 19, in the 200 block of South Dean Street.

Kinlaw quickly found Joya -- who was trying to strong-arm the Pokémon-playing teen into empting his pockets, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told Daily Voice.

Joya resisted, yelling at the officer to shoot him, before being taken into custody.

He remained held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with robbery and resisting arrest.
