One of two men charged with trying to steal scrap metal ended up on the wrong side of the tracks when he ran into the waiting arms of Englewood police near headquarters.

The other, an ex-con, was wanted on a fraud charge in New York City.
A tipster led p olice to Fisher Scrap Metal Yard on Linden Avenue, next to the Englewood DPW, late Thursday night.
There Officers Hook and Hammond spotted two men “inside the yard and rummaging through some scrap metal,” Detective Lt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .
The pair took off when they saw police, but one of them “made the mistake of running along the CSX railroad tracks that led him right to the rear of the police department, where he was arrested, Torell.
Shaquille Bryan, 18, was charged with resisting and eluding. He’s being held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
Officers Doyle, Quirk, Barrett, Rose & Restrepo joined the chase and assisted in the arrest of 20-year-old G nahore Gnegbo, who already was out on bail from
Gnegbo is being held on $45,000 bail, with a detainer from the NYPD.
