Franklin Lakes PD: Several Offenders Nabbed In Stops On 287, 208

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. – Routine traffic stops on the two highways running through Franklin Lakes produced several arrests – mostly for drugs -- in just a few days.

Monday, Aug. 14 (7:25 p.m.) A stop on Route 287 led to the arrests of two Pennsylvania residents and a New Jersey woman. Bridget Fountain, 34, of Forest City and Kevin Allen, 39, of Honesdale, PA and Erin Phillips, 30, of Hawley, PA were released on court summons after police found heroin, a hypodermic needle and other drug paraphernalia in their vehicle, Capt. John Bakelaar said.

Sunday, Aug. 13 (12:57 a.m.) Driver Shane Moore, 24, of Albany, NY, was charged with marijuana possession, having drugs in a vehicle and speeding after a stop on Route 208. Also charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession was a 20-year-old passenger, also from Albany.

Saturday, Aug. 12 (11:04 a.m.) Another Route 208 stop led to the arrest of a Markel Morris, 27, of Brooklyn, who was wanted on warrants out of Saddle Brook, Clifton, Paterson, Bordentown, Pequannock, Cherry Hill and Bloomfield. Morris also was charged with hindering for giving a bogus ID to police, Bakelaar said.

Friday, Aug. 11 (7:02 a.m.) Robert Gagg, 30, of Hamburg, was charged with DWI, reckless driving and having an open alcohol container in his vehicle after being arrested following a Route 208 stop.
