Man, 18, Expected To Survive After Being Shot In Englewood

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- An 18-year-old Englewood man was shot in the city Wednesday night, authorities said.

The victim was shot at the corner of Palisade Avenue and Palisade Place, then ran to Wides Corner at Mattlage Place around 9 p.m., Detective Capt. Tim Torell said.His injuries weren't life-threatening, Torell said.

The victim was brought to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, responders said. Meanwhile, a search was under way for the shooter.

This comes after a drastic reduction in street shootings in the city stemming from a sweep that produced 21 arrests.
