Tenafly police seek help finding Israeli national in home invasion, stun gun attack

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? Tenafly police released a photo of a 64-year-old Israeli citizen who they said assaulted his former business partner after breaking into his home carrying a stun gun.

The victim called police just before 10 p.m. Sunday, saying that Avigdor Eldan broke into the Roberts Court home through a back door and assaulted him.

He then took off on foot, the homeowner said.

The victim, 44, was treated at a local hospital with injuries that , Capt. Michael deMoncada said weren’t life-threatening.

Meanwhile, police obtained an arrest warrant for Eldan, with $75,000 bail, charging him with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and illegal weapons possession.

“Based upon the victim’s statement, we believe Mr. Eldan…may be in the United States for a short period of time on business,” ” deMoncada said.

“Our detectives are working diligently with other law enforcement agencies to locate Mr. Eldan in connection with the above incident,” he said.
