Video: Firefighter Hospitalized In Norwood Townhouse Blaze

NORWOOD, N.J. -- A firefighter was hospitalized with injuries that authorities said weren't life-threatening after a blaze gutted a Norwood townhouse Wednesday night.

The three-alarm blaze was brought under control in under an hour, responders said.

The Cedar Court fire began in the basement around 10:30 p.m. and blew up to the roof, responders said. Firefighters had it under control within an hour and cleared the scene at 1:30 a.m.

Norwood police and firefighters, several area fire departments and the borough Volunteer Ambulance Corps were among the responders.

The Northvale Volunteer Ambulance Corps and an Advanced Life Support Unit was requested to stand-by from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
