A reward was being offered for information leading to arrests of the trio, who were either in their late teens or early 20s, authorities said.

The 30-year-old husband was unloading items from his vehicle at the Cross Creek condominium complex on Broad Avenue just north of Leonia when the trio – all armed with handguns – “surrounded him and announced a robbery” around 10 p.m. last Friday, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told Daily Voice.

The robbers – all of whom wore hoodies and masks partially covering their faces – forced the husband into the residence and held him and his 33-year-old wife at gunpoint while searching the home and demanding cash and valuables, Torell said.

The trio “eventually fled with valuables,” he said, adding that the couple wasn’t seriously injured.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Identification helped city detectives collect evidence, the captain said.

Investigators recovered nearby Ring.com video evidence of the suspects leaving the area after the robbery, he said.

“Both private security and police patrols have been increased in the area,” Torell said. “In conjunction with the management staff at Cross Creek, we are urging residents to be extra aware of their surroundings when entering or exiting their homes.

“There have been no similar occurrences recently in the area. Residents, visitors and complex staff are being asked to report any suspicious activity to the Englewood Police Department via 911 or (201) 568-2700.

“The Crime Stoppers Group of Bergenfield-Englewood-Teaneck-Hackensack is offering cash rewards for any information that significantly assists our detectives in this investigation,” Torell added.
