Democrat Bergen Incumbent Clerk Hogan, Surrogate Dressler Win Big

Bergen County Democrats continued their dominance in Tuesday's election with convincing victories by incumbent County Clerk John Hogan and Surrogate Judge Michael Dressler.

Hogan got 187,838 votes -- a shade under 60% -- to 129, 196 for Republican challenger Hector Olmo.

Dressler, meanwhile, got 184,137 votes (roughly 58.4%) to 130,941 for Robert W. Avery to win re-election as surrogate.

Incumbent Republican Sheriff Michael Saudino also cruised to victory in a landslide, while the Board of Chosen Freeholders became 7-0 Democrats.
