The trade association says foreclosures in the state are also up, and inventory remains low.
In June, there were 39,150 single-family homes for sale in the state, 10,184 townhouse/condo units for sale, and 2,382 adult community units for sale, according to the organization.
“Despite the housing shortage we have been seeing in many areas around the state, and despite the continuation of the foreclosure crisis, market confidence and the pull to homeownership is still thriving,” said Jarrod C. Grasso, CEO of New Jersey Realtors.
