A committee of members from each high school chose the seniors based on their community work.

Stewart created a second-food pantry in her area; she also volunteers at an animal shelter, as well as raises money for homeless shelters. Pierro has been a volunteer fireman at the Closter Fire Department since August 2011; he's also been a member of the volunteer Closter Ambulance Corp. since 2012.

Weichert, Realtors' Closter office is at 1 Ruckman Rd.
