TENAFLY, N.J. -- The Rational Homework Review Initiative -- or RHOWR, pronounced "roar!" -- based in Tenafly, invites the public to a community discussion with Frank Bruni about his best-seller," Where You Go Is Not Who You'll Be: an Antidote to the College Admissions Mania," on Thursday, March 31.
The discussion will be from 7-8:30 p.m. at Tenafly High School, 19 Columbus Dr., in Tenafly.
"RHOWR is a group of Tenafly Public School parents who are concerned about the role of homework among the stressors impacting our children," a news release notes. "We are taking informed action to improve our families' lives. Our basic concern is the health and well-being of our children, which includes their intellectual, physiological, social and emotional development.
"We are educating ourselves about homework issues and best practices, through communication with administrators, teachers, students and parents, as well as reading and other research."
