Swing, Batta: Community Hits For Hillsdale School Nurse Fighting Cancer

HILLSDALE, N.J. — Local baseball and softball associations are combining forces this weekend in an effort to help Hillsdale's Meadowbrook School nurse Melanie Fraiman who is fighting breast cancer.

Rally in the Valley, organized by the Hillsdale, River Vale, Woodcliff Lake, Montvale and Park Ridge Baseball and Softball Associations — will begin at 9 a.m. at fields spanning the five towns.

The event is open to anyone with a suggested donation of $10.

Hillsdale's Memorial Field will be the host venue for all championship games beginning at 1:30 p.m., with award ceremonies to follow.
