Bergen Catholic Alum Represents Team USA In World University Games

ORADELL, N.J. — Bergen Catholic graduate Tristan Duran has been selected along with one other teammate from the University of Minnesota to represent the United States in the World University Games this summer.

The games will be from Aug.19 through 30 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Duran, 20, graduated from Bergen Catholic in 2014. He was born in Teaneck and also lived in Franklin Lakes.

The junior received outstanding accomplishment award this season and was named All-American on parallel bars and high bar, tying for 8th on both at the NCAA Championship.

He competed on pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar at the NCAA Qualifying Session, and placed sixth on high bar and also competed on pommel horse and parallel bars at the B1G Championships.
