Tenafly Grappler Representing Canada In Maccabi Games

TENAFLY, N.J. — That he was overweight and was losing almost every wrestling match mattered little to Tenafly's Moshe "MB" Klyman 17 years ago.

The Teaneck native went on to drop 60 pounds and compete in college.

His experiences gave him a sense of confidence and taught him lessons he hopes to pass on to his two sons.

Last month, Klyman came one step closer to fulfilling a dream: he was selected to represent Canada in the 20th Maccabi Games in Israel come Summer 2017.

Almost $5,000 had been raised on a GoFundMe as of Friday morning to help Klyman pay for flights. He hopes his wife, Renee, and toddlers will cheer him on from the sidelines in Israel.
