After allowing a home run in the first inning, Sabathia allowed one more run in the second inning before shutting the Rays out during the last three innings, according to NorthJersey.com.

Sabathia says his two-seam change-up pitch he brought out this spring is one he’s going to rely on during the season, as it allows him better arm speed, NorthJersey.com reports.
