The 6th annual pet- and family-friendly event to benefit Pet ResQ will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the west end of the promenade.
The non-profit group was founded more than 20 years ago by Robyn Urman, a Tenafly hair dresser from Dumont with a passion for unwanted, abused and special needs pooches (SEE: Dumont Pet ResQ Operator Saves One Dog At A Time).
Urman, who more often than not pulls from her pocket to rescue, house and care for the canines, depends on donations.
Last year's "Woofstock" drew nearly 4,,000 families and their pets.
This year's program will feature several dogs ready to be rescued, as well as vendors, crafts and food.
There will also be a costume contest at 1 p.m., an adoptional red carpet walk, paw painting, activities, a Bergen County Police Department K9 Demonstration, and more.
Sponsorship/vendor options are available from Stephanie McLoughlin: neenee1125@gmail.com or (201) 424-4186.
