Fort Lee Opera Launches Fall Season With Englewood Open House

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera based in Fort Lee will host a free celebration for the public at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Bergen Family Center, 44 Armory St.

The event includes detailed information about the grand opera company's fall season, volunteer opportunities and classes, plus a 30-minute concert.

The show features vocalists performing arias and duets from Giuseppe Verdi's "Rigoletto" and past productions. 

There also will be exhibits displaying memorabilia, costumes and photos from Verismo Opera’s 28 years in operation.

The 2016 season is made possible, in part, with funds provided by the New Jersey Council on the Arts/Department of State, through grant funds administered by the Bergen County Department of Parks, Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
