Author Nadine Haruni of Tenafly will talk, read from and sign her new book, "Freeda the Frog Gets a Divorce."
"Freeda" tells the story of Freeda, Fred, Frannie, and Frank coping with the subject of divorce and learning that they're not alone. Freeda’s story is intended to help make the subject of divorce more approachable for families.
The event starts at 2 p.m.
Haruni has gone through a divorce and is now re-married with five children. She said she hopes this book can help other “tadpoles” such as her own children, cope with the difficult circumstances of divorce.
Haruni is a member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers & Illustrators. She also is as an attorney and a certified yoga instructor who teaches children's yoga classes at a studio and volunteers as a yoga instructor at her children's school.
