TENAFLY, N.J. -- The National Endowment of the Arts has awarded a $40,000 grant to Tenafly's Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, to bolster arts education in the state, the Northern Valley Suburbanite reported.
The grant will support art all throughout the country, and it's part of $1.6 million the NEA has awarded to organizations across New Jersey, according to the Northern Valley Suburbanite.
The funds will help underwrite the Music Discovery Partnership, which partners the JCC and the Englewood Public School District, the Northern Valley Suburbanite reported. "We started with eight children in 1997 and since then we've reached over 2,000 children in the program," said Caroline Fairchild, development director at the Thurnauer School of Music at the JCC.Read the full Northern Valley Suburbanite article here.
