ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Anna Winnie Wardlaw, of Englewood, died Aug. 21. She was 87.
She was born May 8, 1929, at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, to David and Anna Ross. She was raised in Englewood, attended and graduated from the Englewood Public School System.
Upon graduation, she attended and graduated from the Nursing School of N.Y.C. She was employed by Bergen Pines (Bergen Reginal), did private duties for the Artkel Family, the Central Ave Elementary School for Early Childhood, Scotts Floral Shop as a florist, and Vincent K. Tibbs Child Development Center.
She is survived by her children, Caliana (Dr. Tariq El) Ahmad Bey of Baltimore, Brenda Marshall of Paterson, Karen and Mark Marshall of Hackensack and Arthur Marshall of Lodi; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; eight step-children; Goddaughters, Charlene Butler and the Rev. Oliva Stanard; and a host of family and friends.
