ENGLEWOOD, N.J.– Bergen County Clerk John Hogan will join the Englewood Democratic Club's August meeting on Aug. 17.
The club will be introduced to the work and responsibility of the clerk's office, according to Assemblyman and Club President Gordon M. Johnson.
The Bergen county clerk is an elected position and is a countywide constitutional office in Bergen. The clerk’s iffice is responsible for the processing of vote by mail applications, notary and passport applications as well as overseeing copies of deeds, mortgages and other personal and business documents.
Hogan of Northvale is a former mayor, and has served as clerk since January 2012.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living, 228 Grand Ave.
