Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Struck, Killed By SUV On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway Police are investigating a fatal crash on a busy Hudson Valley roadway. It happened late Friday night, May 10, in Orange County on Route 211 near Route 17 in the town of Wallkill. Police at the scene confirmed a woman was hit by a Ford Escape SUV on the westbound side and pronounced dead at around 11 p.m., according to Mark Lieb of Rockland Video Productions. The driver of the Escape remained at the scene, and the stretch of Route 211 was closed for several hours during the accident investigation. The identity of the woman has not yet been released. Officers who responded to a 911 call for shots fired on Pond Hill Road observed a dispensed shell casing lying on the ground, Nassau County Police said.
