A Long Island pastor is accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl inside his place of worship.
Clinton Bucknor, age 71, of Huntington, was arrested Thursday, May 9, following an investigation by Suffolk County Police detectives.
According to police, the victim’s sister called 911 on Wednesday, May 8, saying her 15-year-old sister had been sexually abused by a pastor at the Huntington Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located on West 9th Street.

Two Long Island men are facing dozens of charges after allegedly stealing tires and rims from over 100 vehicles.
Randy Woods, age 37, of Wyandanch and Dwayne Jones, age 45 of Central Islip are named in a 190-count indictment announced by the Suffolk County DA’s office on Wednesday, May 8.
According to investigators, the pair targeted residents, car dealerships, and rental car companies across Suffolk County between July 2022 and October 2023.
In all, they stole tires and rims from 114 vehicles, leaving nearly $500,000 in property damage in their wake, prosecutors allege.

An accused drunk driver has admitted to causing a late-night crash that killed his 22-year-old passenger.
Carlos Orellana Mata, age 36, of East Northport, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, May 8, in the death of Lenel Umana Guitierrez Lopez.
Prosecutors said Mata was drunk and speeding on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood shortly after midnight on March 18, 2023, when his SUV slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer.
Lopez, of East Northport, was killed instantly.

Johnathan Wright, age 34, of Lindenhurst, was sentenced to 32 ½ to 40 years in prison by a Suffolk County judge on Tuesday, May 7, following his jury conviction for assault and related charges.
Prosecutors said Wright was staying at a Ronkonkoma hotel with two women, one of whom suffered from mental disabilities, on July 21, 2021, when he became enraged after the women fell asleep while giving him a back massage.
